Friday Foodie: Frozen Yogurt Fruit Bites

I saw a beautiful picture of a frozen yogurt covered strawberry. It looked delicious. So I went to the store bought some strawberries (and blackberries) and some vanilla yogurt and took them home.

Then I didn't know what to do next. The yogurt was so thin when I dipped the strawberries in it, I didn't know how I was going to get a nice even coat around my fruit.

Instead I came up with another idea. I grabbed a ice cube tray, put some yogurt in each spot, and then added in my fruit. I stuck it in the freezer for about an hour until it was firm.

I emptied my ice cube tray of fruit and yogurt into a bowl.

I took a few out, put them on my plate, and cut them up. And quickly realized this was not going to be the finger food I thought it might be.

For them to be cold enough to not be messy they were too cold for me to eat. And to be able to eat them, they were messy. I used a fork to eat my pieces.

They did taste good. But it's probably not something I will make again. (It has been pointed out to me that greek yogurt might work better than regular yogurt to be able to just dip and freeze the fruit.)
