|DIY beauty recipe: all purpose lemon butter balm in altoids tins|
I've been on a DIY beauty kick lately. I'm tired of spending lots of money on expensive beauty products that don't really work and are full of scary chemicals. Not only that, but there's a different product for everything and to be honest, I think it's ridiculous to have a morning face cream, a nighttime moisturizer, eye cream, lip softener, eye makeup remover, hand cream, and body moisturizer (just to name a few). Especially when there are so many natural ingredients out there that will take the place of several of these at once - without chemicals and a zillion times cheaper!!
That's why I'm SO excited to have come up with this mixture for a delicately lemon scented homemade skin balm that is 100% natural, super easy to make, and can be used for so many things. It is a wonderful moisturizer for dry hands, feet, elbows, and knees, as well as an excellent cuticle cream. You can use it all over your body as an after-shower moisturizer, and it's a lip balm too!
I made it in Altoids tins because they're the perfect size (and because my mom saves them for me...for some reason...?) but you can use any container, jar or tin.
