Tip Trick or Technique - Sprinkler Systems

It's about to get H O T around here... Have you checked your sprinkler system yet this summer? It's a good idea at least once a year to run a manual cycle with a partner and check all of the heads for damage and performance. Things get knocked around and things grow up and sometimes you aren't getting the coverage you think you are. You can always make adjustments but not if you don't know there's a problem.

When we installed our system I made a diagram of all of the heads and valves on a copy of my property survey with color codes. I then made an additional sheet that follows the color codes but gives me a verbal description of what area is covered ie. veggie garden, front beds S side, etc.

This way when I go out to turn on a manual cycle I can quickly see what station I want to turn on.

Something like these.
