Member Monday! Meet....

Julie of Coco and Cocoa!

Our members were given a list of questions to answer so we could get to know them better.  Give Julie some online love!  I just love those owl hats!

Introduce yourself:

Hi! My name is Julie. I am the knitter/crocheter behind Coco and Cocoa. In addition to knitting and crocheting I also love to bake. I am a wife, mother, college student, and blogger. I go to school part time working on my degree in Business Marketing. (Right now I'm a Junior.) I have two cats, Coco and Ranger.

What do you create, and what are your favorite mediums?

I mostly make hats, scarves, headbands, and jewelry. I am working on flower and bow headbands as well as some owl necklaces for this summer.

What do you love about creating?

I love how a simple ball or yarn can be transformed into something cute and wearable. Seeing someone else wearing something that I made gives me a huge rush.

Are there any arts or crafts you are interested in learning?

I wish I was better at sewing! I also really want to learn to be a better photographer.

What does being a member of Etsy Forth Worth mean to you?

Being a member of EFW has been so amazing. I'm thankful for the friendships that I've made and for the mentoring that I've been able to get from more experienced members.

Lots more about me can be found on my blog

I love this big flower brooch. I think it's feminine and fun. And it adds a pop of color to any outfit.

These owl hats are some of my favorite. I like how subtle the little owls are peeking out.

I love watching movies. And movies where they wear great knits are even better. This hat was inspired by one that Hermione wears in the Harry Potter movies. I'm addicted to knitting cables so this was right up my alley.

The three boys in this photo are my biggest inspiration

A big thank you to Julie for sharing a bit about herself and her work with us.
Will you just look at those precious boys?  :-)
