Upcycle THIS: January Craft Challenge - Disposable Sushi Trays!

For the first of what is to be a regular occurrence here at the Etsy Fort Worth blog, I would like to introduce you to your January Craft Challenge:

Disposable Sushi Trays!

(If you missed the explanation of the Monthly Craft Challenge you can read it here)

I had a heck of a time deciding what to use as the very first 'secret ingredient' (and I won't tell you what the other contenders were because I will probably be using those at a later date) but I chose these because I personally haven't seen them used for anything like this before.  Now I'm sure I could google it and find a gazillion things, but I'm not going to and I would encourage you not to either, because I think it will stunt your creativity.  I think you can do better!

For your project, you may use one of these sushi trays, or you may use several. Don't forget to document your steps along the way with pics and notes and be sure to take a 'before' photo as well as the 'after' one! (I would also recommend washing used sushi trays in the dishwasher; they're fine on the top shelf with no heated dry cycle.)

Write your tutorial or how-to blog post on your own blog and post the link in the comments to this post by Wednesday February 1st.  We'll create a post with a gallery of entries with links to your tutorials, and we all encourage everyone we know to vote! Winners will be chosen by the number of votes (voting closes at 11:59pm February 7th) and will be announced with a featured blog post the following week which is all about you, with links to your shop, blog, etc. and your logo badge will be stationed on our sidebar for a whole month!

We hope you are inspired to create by this crafty challenge, and that you'll have tons of fun in the process! Thanks for reading; now go forth, and GET CRAFTY!
