CIB: Peek Inside the Bag

Welcome to the first sneak peek of what will be in the goody bags for the Cowtown Indie Bazaar: Spring Into Handmade on Saturday, March 19th.  The first 50 visitors to the show will receive a free handmade tote bag filled with amazing handmade items created by local artists and crafters.  Doors open at 9am, but make sure you arrive early for a chance to get a goody bag because they go fast.

Lone Star Leather Crafters is a group of talented leather crafters who will be demoing artists at the show.  Their group is made up of amateurs and professionals from around the world.  One of their members, Darla S., made these stamped leather key fobs for the goody bags.

Betsy Horn, of B. Horn Original Art, is a Fort Worth painter who covers a broad range of styles and works in watercolor, gouache, and acrylic.  I admire her strong sense of color theory.  For the goody bags she contributed a variety of bookmark prints of original paintings in protective plastic sleeves.

These lovely ceramic heart magnets were created by Laughing Crafter Studio, who will also be a vendor at the show.  Buffy works with fused glass and clay to create one-of-a-kind bowls, crosses, jewelry, and more.

Art Masquerading sent in these beautiful tiny beaded tulip pins.  Nina uses high quality materials to create one-of-a-kind intricate beadwoven jewelry.

These handy little drawstring and envelope style bags were made by The Tangled Web.  They create crocheted accessories, embroidered items and sewn bags.

Sincerely Serenity sent in these heart earrings for the bags.  They are made of upcycled cans from a variety of different beverages, and are super light weight and unique.  Melissa creates jewelry using metal and glass.

Thank you for joining us for this first peek at the Spring 2011 goody bags.  All of today's goody bag contributors will also be vendors at the Cowtown Indie Bazaar, so make sure you stop by their booths.  For more information about all the fun stuff we have at the show and a list of artists please visit the Cowtown Indie Bazaar website, and come back next Saturday for more sneak peeks.
