how to tuesday:: collaborate

This mystical painting on fabric was done by one of Etsy Fort Worth's own members, Vera Harris. She is a wonderfully talented painter and jewelry designer. We had talked about collaborating and she surprised me by bringing a few versions of this mermaid to the last Etsy Fort Worth meeting.

I was a little unsure and nervous about how to best utilize it. This mystical maiden used her siren song to let me know that she wanted to be shown off on a roomy tote.

This bag not only highlights Vera's hand painted artwork but doesn't skimp on the bells and whistles. There is an oversized pocket inside.

Tapered handles.

Vibrant colors and beautiful details.

The only problem is deciding who's etsy shop it will end up in!
Get together with a fellow crafter and see what you can collaborate on!

This turned out great! I would never have imagined something like this just from one piece of painted fabric.
